Here’s the Untold Love Story of our Group Member – Mr Anish Roy –
Hi All,
My name is Anish Roy. I am originally from West Bengal, but have been living in NCR since 2005, and now living in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad for last one decade.
As far as four wheelers are concerned, my first car was a Wagon-R and had purchased a Nissan Micra when that Wagon-R got stolen in 2012. I was really happy with Micra. So, I didn’t have any plan to go for any new car as such until May 2019. For about previous one year or so, this car started giving different kind of problems which in a way forced my earlier thought of continuing with this car to change. Finally, I decided to sell off my Micra and started looking for which car to buy.
This time, I was certain of not going for Maruti or Nissan and initially was a little inclined towards Honda. Moreover, based on other requirements from family, I was also of the opinion of going for a 7 seater. But considering the budget constraint and all, I shifted my focus on to compact SUVs. I was going through different choices available in the market and almost zeroed in on Honda WR-V, but was still not happy from inside especially due to unavailability of some features that I was looking for. Then suddenly, it clicked in my mind during discussions with friends that Ford EcoSport was also a good option to consider. I sifted through all its models and found its Titanium Plus Petrol model pretty decent for me considering all the features it had. Then I visited Noida Ford showroom and found that that they had a Titanium S 1.0L Turbo petrol model of Canyon Ridge color available which they were providing with a decent discount on ex-showroom price. Just seeing the first time, I simply fell for it and with the discount at hand, I finally decided to go for this model. Got its delivery on 2nd June 2019.
During that time, I happen to come across the group of Ford EcoSport Owners India Official on the Facebook that is managed by Prateek Goyal, Sumit Rathee, Rohan Bathla & Bharat Falswal and joined it. Gradually I got to know that this is a family type group of like-minded Ford EcoSport owners across India. Coincidentally there was trip being planned from Delhi to Chail, Himachal Pradesh in June only which was partly sponsored by Ford India and I enrolled straightway. That was my first trip with this wonderful group as well the first long drive on my new EcoSport. It was altogether a new experience for me, and I enjoyed it to the fullest. The riding experience was amazing much as like getting to know the participating group members. It was truly a “family wali feeling”.
It’s been almost a year now. So far, I have clocked around 7k+ on the odometer. This is far more than what I had done in any of my previous cars in a year. And one of the reasons is its amazing driving experience that keeps on enticing me to drive it more and more. Recently we traveled to Narkanda, Himachal Pradesh with full family on this car. It was a comfortable journey for the whole family. We could stuff so much and it took it all so very well. The sunroof (Ford calls it “Fun Roof”!) is my kids’ fav. We are loving it. 😊
I was planning another long drive to the hills during this March, but this lockdown played a spoilsport. Hope my wish would be fulfilled once the situation gets normal after lockdown in near future. So many kilometers to go still…!!!
Thank you so much Anish for Sharing your Love towards #Ford #Ecosport
