Ford & Mahindra are close to form a Joint Venture in India as the both companies decided to developed new products and new technologies.
Till now Ford invested 2 billion dollar in India and currently having 3% share in Indian Market which is less as compared to Hyundai which enters in India around same time as Ford enter.
Ford has 2 plants in India.

And now some Pros and Cons of Joint Venture.
PROS:
In Case of Electric Vehicles, Ford’s Technology and Mahindra’s vast service network makes the development cost less which makes electric vehicles cheaper.
Manufacturing cost reduced as Mahindra already have solid setup of Tier-1 companies.
Ford’s expertise and Mahindra’s Indian buyers connections will help both companies to launch more effective products.
CONS:
Ford Mustang future??? One of the most iconic car in the world.
Ford cars are unknown for good road presence and pocket friendly service cost, but Mahindra after sale service is not upto the mark. So after JV its assumed that the service rating index of Ford goes down.
