Hyundai first compact SUV has a waiting period of around six to eight weeks.
- Hyundai celebrates Venue first month anniversary by delivering 1000 units in a single day.
- It is priced between Rs 6.50-11.10 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
- The Venue gets 33 internet connectivity features via Hyundai Blue Link.
- The Hyundai Venue is available in five variants.
- Gets four engine and transmission options.
- Over 2 lakh customers have enquired about the SUV so far.
- The Main rival of Venue is Vitara Brezza.
Venue was launched in India a month ago and has already received 34,000 bookings and more than 2 lakh inquiries. The Venue is the very first sub-compact SUV in Hyundai’s global lineup. The segment it has entered is already very competitive in India and Hyundai Venue is also the first car in the country to feature Internet-connectivity, which gives it an edge over its competitors like the segment-leader Vitara Brezza, Nexon, XUV300 & Ecosport.
According to dealer sources, the Venue compact SUV has a waiting period of around six to eight weeks, depending on variants and engine- gearbox combination.
In terms of engines, the most popular option appears to be the 1.0-litre petrol engine paired to the 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The 1.4-litre diesel is the second-most popular engine choice, while the 1.2 petrol is the least popular, owing to its rather basic equipment list.
In terms of variants, both variants of the Venue AT, the S and SX+, seem to be in high demand. Among the MTs, it is the 1.0-litre petrol MT, which is demanded most in the SX trim.
The major selling points for the Hyundai Venue include it being India’s first connected SUV with Hyundai Blue Link that works via a Vodafone e-SIM. Other features include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, remote start as well as location tracking. Safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist and more are also a part of the package.
However, my pick would be the 1.0-litre TGDI three-cylinder petrol motor. The direct-injection turbo-petrol engine is offered with a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission).
