Hyundai Venue compact SUV has been launched in India. The Venue made its global debut last month in India as well as in USA. Hyundai Venue SUV is available in both petrol and diesel with a choice between manual and automatic transmissions. The compact SUV from Hyundai is offered with a choice between two petrol and one diesel engine paired to either two manual or one dual-clutch automatic transmission and will be taking on a number of offerings including the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and the Ford Ecosport.
The Venue comes with the embedded eSIM for the connected tech that Hyundai calls BlueLink system which is Hyundai’s connectivity solution that allows your smartphone to be connected to your car, giving remote access to some of the car’s features. Along with remote access, the Blue Link will provide safety, security, location-based and alert services. The Blue Link has features such as artificial intelligence and is equipped with vehicle relationship management. The new feature offers access to functions like remote start, climate control, Geofencing, SOS alert, Indian-accented English voice assist system and much more. The eSIM is powered by Vodafone-Idea.
Hyundai garnered over 2000 pre-bookings for the Venue in a single day, promising a strong start for the SUV. Deliveries will begin by later this month. India is one of the key markets for the Hyundai Venue and it has been developed keeping the preference of Indian customers.
The Hyundai Venue will draw power from two petrol and one diesel engine options. The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor churns out 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a dual-clutch transmission while a six-speed manual is also on offer. There’s also the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill belting out 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque, which is paired with only a 5-speed manual transmission. Lastly, the 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel produces 89 bhp and 220 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A diesel automatic is not on offer.

The SUV in India is available in five variants, seven monotone colours and three dual-tone colour options. The colours on offer include: Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Deep Forest, Lava Orange and Denim Blue. The dual-tone colour combinations are: blue with white roof, white with black roof and orange with black roof.
