But now Maruti Suzuki all set to launch Petrol Version of Vitara Brezza to compete with new rivals in the market.
The K15B 1.5L petrol engine currently powers the Ciaz SEDAN and the Ertiga MPV. This engine is coupled with a dual-battery SHVS mild hybrid system. It is producing 105bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. The very refined 1.5L engine will offer decent fuel efficiency and mid-range performance.

Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the new 1.5-litre petrol engine in the Indian market. The new in-house developed petrol engine first launched on the Ciaz sedan last year and is now expected to make its way on other models, including the Vitara Brezza.
In addition with the petrol powertrain on the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Company also plan to launch of facelift of Vitara Brezza in coming months.
The new Vitara Brezza 1.5 petrol will rival Ford EcoSport 1.5 petrol (123hp/150Nm), Tata Nexon 1.2 turbo-petrol (110hp/170Nm) and the recently launched Mahindra XUV300 1.2 turbo-petrol (110hp/200Nm). Also, it will see the stiff competition from the upcoming Hyundai Venue compact SUV that will comes with a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (100hp/172Nm)
