Toyota Glanza bookings open ahead of launch on 6th June

Toyota will offer a 12-month free trial of the Toyota connect app with the Glanza. In Comparison with Maruti Suzuki Baleno charges Rs 10,000 for a three-year subscription of the Suzuki S-Connect app. Suzuki’s S-Connect telematics app is more comprehensive than what Toyota offers.

Minor differences in infotainment system, the Glanza and Baleno will also differ in their warranties. As reported to AWI, the Glanza will come with a 3-year/100,000km warranty as standard on all variants, just like other Toyota Cars in India. In Comparison, the Baleno comes with a 2 year/40,000km warranty.

The pre-bookings of Maruti Suzuki Baleno-based Toyota Glanza have started today with the launch of the car scheduled on 6th June, the Japanese company will enter the premium hatchback segment in India with the support of Suzuki.

A Toyota dealer told to AWI that the upcoming Glanza can be pre-booked by an amount of Rs 10,000. The premium hatchback is the result of an agreement between Toyota Motor Corporation and Suzuki Motor Corporation.

Toyota Glanza is inspired by the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, other than a different grille design and separate badging, both the cars look almost the same. The upcoming hatchback gets LED projector headlamps with DRLs and precision-cut two-tone alloy wheels. There will be LED tail lamps as well. The spacious cabin features a multi-functional steering wheel with a Toyota logo. Also available will be a touchscreen infotainment system and it will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Officially Toyota has not announced the engine details of Glanza, Glanza have the BS6 compliant, 1.2-litre, VVT petrol engine that comes with Baleno. This motor pull out 84 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as a CVT. We also see Glanza being offered with Baleno’s new 1.2-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT, smart hybrid, BS6 petrol engine.

Toyota Glanza will rival Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and upcoming Tata Altroz.
