Toyota should consider launching the RAV4 in the Indian market ???
Toyota unveiled the latest generation of the SUV at the New York Auto Show 2018.
Toyota currently offerings UV in India – Fortuner and Innova Crysta – are best sellers in their segments. However, toyota is yet to enter the sub-Rs 20 lakh space. The RAV4 with its rugged exterior design & can be the perfect SUV to place under the Fortuner.
The model also gets Toyota’s Multi-Terrain Select system as standard, which can be used to tweak the SUVs performance depending on the road condition – Mud, Sand, Rock, Dirt and Snow. The RAV4 TRD Off-Road also comes with hill-start and descent assist.
It is based on the automaker’s TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform.
Its exterior design, proportions and powertrain options make it quite an attractive package.
Toyota RAV4 Hybrid can be had in two or four wheel-drive configuration with 2.5-litre petrol engine working along with an electric motor. The engine works in tandem with an electric motor and is connected to a CVT automatic transmission. The two wheel-drive version is the less powerful than 4WD.
Toyota RAV4 comes with a host of features such as autonomous braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control,17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, reversing camera and sensors, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that play as display for parking, dual exhaust system, LED headlamps and tail-lamps etc.
